Community Food Coordination App

AI-powered coordination for community food organizers — from farm surplus to family tables

In Development — Atlanta Pilot

Why This App Exists

Community food organizers coordinate farm surplus, food bank demand, and federal nutrition outreach with spreadsheets, phone calls, and guesswork. Food moves too slowly, data is collected twice or not at all, and nobody can see the whole system.

We are building the answer with the people who do this work: an AI-powered, mobile, multilingual app that lets organizers see what's available, decide who needs it most, and act before food goes to waste.

Metro Atlanta is our proving ground. The platform is built to serve communities nationwide.

Built With, Not For

  • ✓Co-designed with metro Atlanta food organizers
  • ✓Mobile-first and multilingual from day one
  • ✓Built on our live agricultural data layer
  • ✓Community members hold real decision power
  • ✓Everything we build belongs to the community it serves
What It Does

Four Jobs, One Platform

Each capability answers a question organizers ask every single day.

🚜

Surplus Matching

"Who needs what I have, today?" Real-time matching connects farm surplus to food bank and pantry demand before it spoils — with pickup logistics built in.

📊

Needs Assessment

"Where is help needed most?" Rapid neighborhood-level assessment turns scattered local knowledge into a shared picture organizers and funders can act on.

🧭

Federal Program Navigation

"What is this family entitled to?" Plain-language SNAP, WIC, TEFAP, and CSFP guidance helps organizers connect people to programs they already qualify for.

🔗

Referral Network

"Who else can help?" A cross-organization referral system so no request dead-ends — food banks, community farms, and service groups hand off seamlessly.

The Road Ahead

Atlanta First, Then Everywhere

We prove every feature with real organizers in Fulton and DeKalb counties before it scales. What works in Atlanta becomes a platform any community can adopt.

🌱

Now — Co-Design

Working sessions with Atlanta food organizers shape what gets built first. Their daily reality is the product spec.

🛠

Next — Atlanta Pilot

Partner organizations run the app in daily operations across metro Atlanta, with the data layer keeping the map honest.

🌎

Then — National Rollout

A community-owned playbook and platform, ready for any city or rural region that wants to see its own food system clearly.
